RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX IN METAXOURGEIO ATHENS
HONORABLE MENTION, European Architectural Competition, 2006
The project’s goal is to produce intense interaction between the housing complex and the neighborhood. A multi-purpose network prompts public activity flow into everyday life. The in-between space becomes the basis for common activity and creative expression.
How? By opening the urban block. The proposed semi-public activity network can either work autonomously as a space for work or leisure for the people living in the complex or open itself towards the neighborhood occasionally let in and vice-versa.
