Dimitra Riza Architekturlabor was founded by Dimitra Riza and operates as an innovative firm focused on high-quality projects influenced by local traditions, materials, architectural styles, and natural landscapes. Similar to a traditional “laboratory” (Labor in German), where experiments and tests are conducted, our practice serves as a space for exploring, designing, and realizing architectural ideas and concepts that arise from the unique potential, morphology, and historical context of each environment. Each project is approached comprehensively, embodying the concept of Gesamtkunstwerk, and encompassing all design stages and disciplines. Our office boasts extensive experience in airport and commercial design, public spaces, and large-scale complex projects. Additionally, we collaborate closely with the technical consultancy firm DED Riza, which was established in 1978, to provide specialized expertise in technical and legal matters to support our work.

The practice has been awarded in architectural competitions, one of the most important, the “Reformation of Kapnergati Square Area in Kavala”, (in cooperation with P. Mantzou & P. Babasikas, currently under construction and has exhibited its work in exhibitions, such as 5th and 6th Architectural Biennale for young architects among others.
